Style tips for fall transition

Happy August! Although we are several weeks away from the end of the summer season, it won’t be long before we see some cooler days, brisk breezes and not to mention the fall fashion new arrivals. It’s also a great time for a mid-season closet refresh. It’s also that time in the season when I start to get a little bored with my current wardrobe and begin to yearn for wardrobe pieces of the season ahead. Over the weekend, I plan to pull out some of my packed away fall knits and denim and incorporating into my summer wardrobe. This will make getting dressed easier, prepare me for some of the cooler days and more importantly, help remind me of the pieces I already own so that I’m less tempted by “new arrivals” of the fall season. As always, I’ve turned to Pinterest for a bit of style inspo and here’s how I will be incorporating fall vibes into my existing summer wardrobe.

Mix Linen with Tailored Pieces and Denim

Proof linen and denim work beautifully together.

Combine Knitwear with Lighter Pieces

If I said before, I’ll say it again, white denim is a year-round staple full stop!

Add Accessories to Bring Fall Vibes

Bold silver pieces will be everywhere this fall.

Fall is my favorite time of year, mostly because of the fashion, so I have to keep myself in check during this low buy year. But I have sold a few wardrobe pieces so I may use those proceeds to make some considered purchases to incorporate into my existing wardrobe. I’ll be sure to post my wish list and how I plan to style them in an upcoming post.
