Spring wardrobe updates for under $50

Depending on where you are in the world, you may have noticed some early signs of spring. Longer days and warmer weather signal it’s time for a wardrobe reset. For the most part that means packing away my heavy knits and wool coats and bringing out lighter jackets, blazers and cotton t-shirts. To make these existing pieces feel fresh, I plan on incorporating a few stylish items that won’t break the bank or own already. Here’s my inspo:

The Scarf

A scarf is one of those easy accessories that can instantly make an basic outfit feel new. It’s also an accessory you likely own already or can be thrifted. This classic accessory gets a fresh take when styled as a belt.

Statement Jewelry

Sticking with accessories, that statement piece hiding in your jewelry box can elevate basic spring pieces and add a sense of personal style. Second hand shops are great places to find unique, interesting statement pieces.

Makeup and Nail Polish

For an even more affordable update to your look, don’t underestimate the power of a lighter nail color or happy lip or cheek color to bring a bit of spring to your look.

I’m loving this “clean” manicure look.
